| BACK | Southern LanesCamp LeJeuneThis week we used pattern 3C. This is a 39 feet pattern with both forward and reverse loads. There is a heavy concentration of oil in the middle at 15 feet, with about 1/3 of this being buffed back toward the foul line, so it will not create a lot of hold down the lane. This produces a 2.4 to 1 ratio, on average, throughout the pattern. This tournament had 66 from the regular tour and 31 from the senior tour. Seniors tend to play straighter down the lane as you will see in the 'match play' graphs. The guys from the regular tour tend to rev it up a little more and deplete the oil at a faster rate. This is a little hard to tell in the 'A', 'B' graphs as they were scattered out with each other. The 'match play' graphs show the difference.Blue Line = Tape reading at 15 feet Yellow Line = Tape reading at 25 feet Red Line = Tape reading at 37 feet There were a lot of left handers in this tournament, with most of them playing around second arrow at 15 feet, with a little bit of swing out to about L8. This trend was evident throughout the weekend but does not show much on the graphs because they were pretty well spread out. On 'A' squad the right handers played mostly in the same area, getting the ball to 15 feet around the middle of the lane, out to about R14 - R16 at 25 feet and out to about R8 - R12 at 37 feet. On 'B' squad the right handers were all over the lane at 15 feet, but were in the same area as 'A' squad down the lane. In 'match play', the 'senior' right handers were around R10 to R12 at 15 feet, R8 - R12 at 25 feet and R10 - R14 area at 37 feet, while the guys on the regular tour were in as far as L14 - L18 at 15 feet, out to R14 - R16 at 25 feet and around R10 at 37 feet.
