| BACK | Southern LanesFlorenceWe used pattern #2B this week, which is the same pattern we used in Ft Pierce. The scores were similarly as high. One squad (A) broke the lanes down a little differently and got fewer people into the finals. The biggest difference between the 3 squads is that 'A' squad created a little out of bounds at 18 feet (R10 on the yellow line). Also, 'B' and 'C' squads were still playing the same area at 41 feet (R10 to R8 on the red line). Whereas 'A' squad was a little more scattered in this area Most left handers played in on this pattern, as they should, setting the ball down in the L10 to L12 area (blue line at 15 feet), out to the L10 to L8 area (yellow line at 28 feet) and around the L10 to L8 area at 41 feet (red line), playing a more direct line than the right handers were playing. 'B' squad flattened the pattern out a little at 41 feet (red line) which takes away some of the hold. In match play, it is easy to see where most right handers played. The big hookers started in about L16 to L18 (blue line at 15 feet), out to about R18 to R14 (yellow line at 28 feet) and out to about R12 to R8 (red line at 41 feet). The straighter players started the ball a little more right, R18 to R14, but everything else was the same. The left handers played the lanes about the same as qualifying.
