Hi All, I started the first game playing around 14 at the arrows. I missed the pocket 3 times getting two doubles and an open when I missed the 4-9 for a 200. The next game I missed the pocket twice having one open when I chopped the 4 off of the 7 and no consecutive strikes for a 185. In the middle of the 2nd game I switched balls. In the third game I missed the pocket twice when I left back to back buckets. I had a rip 7-10 and a turkey for 200. The 4th game I never missed the pocket but only shot 219 as alternated strikes and spares after a turkey start.
The 5th game I started with a double followed by a missed split (6,7,10). I didn't miss the pocket after that and struck out for a 231. In the 6th game missed the pocket 3 times for 2 opens when I missed the 2,4,5 and the big 4. Fortunately I had a double and a turkey for a 194. I started the 7th game by missing a 10 pin. I followed that up with a 4-9 which I didn't convert. I ended up missing the pocket once this game when I was a little light leaving an 8 pin. Another unconverted 4-9 and only 2 strikes left me with a very low scoring 161. I now needed to start striking. I was gradually moving left and played 23 in the 8th game. Another unconverted 4-9 greeted me in the 2nd frame which was followed by a turkey. I chopped the bucket and had another double for a 199 game. I needed at least a 250 game to get a check.
I tried a different ball the 1st frame and went brooklyn leaving a 6 pin. I picked up spares the next few frames but missed a washout and a 4-5. I didn't really matter how high my score was so I moved out and tried to play up 7. I never hit the pocket missing the 6,7,10 and 2-8 for my lowest game in PBA competition in many years.
This isn't the way I wanted to start the new year, but there are still many tournaments left. This was a very frustrating tournament as I felt like I threw the ball pretty well, but wasn't able to strike much.

I had 15 opens. 9 splits (6 in the pocket), 1 wash-out, 1 single pin, 2 chopped spares and 2 missed spares.
I never had a strike when I missed the pocket. I crossed over once and missed the head pin right 2 times all in the last game.
