sweeper Hi All, There was a sweeper after the Masters practice session. It was 3 games on the same oil pattern as the Masters was supposed to be bowled on so I figured it would be good practice since my record at the National Stadium in Reno is kind of pathetic. In my 1st game of the sweeper I used 2 different balls as the pair seemed to be quite a bit different. I played about 7 at the arrows with medium speed with both balls. I started the first game with the front 9 strikes. This is kind of unusual for me at this bowling center. I left a light 4 pin in the 10th for a 279. The 2nd game the pair was a bit closer to each other, but also a bit tighter. I missed the pocket 3 times, but struck every time except once when I did hit the pocket and shot 235. The 3rd game the pair seemed to hook a pinch more and I moved left a bit and kept my speed down. I threw the ball great and had a great reaction for another 279 starting with the front 7 before leaving a weak 10. I ended up winning the sweeper which was a nice bonus to start the week. My strike % on pocket hits was 28 of 31 or 90%. I had no opens. I broke down the 2-10 split once picked up the 2-8. That was an unbelievable set. It isn't every day that you can carry that often. I just hope that I left some strikes for the Masters.
