At Cheektowaga New York outside of Buffalo we were bowling on the Cheetah pattern. This pattern normally has a lot of hook on the outside of the lanes, but for some reason the very outside of the lane which isn't supposed to have any oil on the lane actually hooks less. Several players would hit the 6-10 on their first shot when the ball got a pinch outside of their perfect shot. I was using a polished ball trying to play up 6 with a lot of speed. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get lined up quite as well as would like and missed the pocket way to many times for this easy pattern. And then it seemed like I would get taps in between strikes a little to often. I also had a little bit of trouble with the tacky approaches. I will need to strike a lot more in the 2nd round or I will have a much shorter week than I want.
