My second match was against Ritchie Allen. Ritchie bowled a great match against me last week when he beat me, so I was definitely wanting some revenge. For some reason, the lanes were even tighter than they were in the earlier match and the official practice session and I used a brand new dull Awesome Revs. I was able to play a very similar line to my other match up the 3rd board. I started out striking while Ritchie was having trouble playing around the 3rd arrow. After the 1st game, Ritchie moved just left of the 1st arrow where he had a much better reaction. He had a few bad shots in the 2nd game and I had a nice 2 game lead on him. In the 3rd game he started striking, but I continued to strike and beat him 269-258. The lanes started to break down quite a bit and after a split and a couple of other high hits, I started striking in the 4th game. Unfortunately for me Ritchie was striking also and didn't have the bad start that I did. I pretty much carried everything in that 4th game to finish with a great score of 256, but Ritchie finished strong and won with a 266. The 5th game was looking like the previous 2 games score wise, but in the 9th frame Ritchie left a pocket 4-9 split which he missed. Except for the fact that the lanes kept changing and hooking I had a great look. My carry percentage was very good to go along with a couple of missed pocket strikes giving me great scores. I ended up playing 7 on both lanes by the end of the match which was rather amazing to me as the ball wouldn't dream of hooking there when we started the match.

My round of 8 match will be against Tony Reyes. Tony is going for 3 straight TV shows, so he is hot. He also doesn't mind playing outside where I will probably be playing, so it will probably be a tough match. Hopefully I didn't use up all of my breaks getting to this match.
