Well, the Tournament of Champions didn't quite end up the way that I had hoped. I bowled a pretty good match against Tony Reyes, but I kept getting tapped at the wrong times while he struck a lot. It was pretty frustrating to have such a good reaction and strike so much to only get wiped out. I think that only one other player was within 20 pins of my average for the tournament. Tony Reyes really struggled the first game as I was striking. In the 2nd game I was hitting the pocket, but kept getting tapped, while Tony managed a couple of turkeys around his bad shots to beat me. In the last 3 games Tony was all strikes except for 3 10 pins and a 5 pin when he threw his spare ball in the 10th frame of the last game. In the 3rd game I left a solid 9 pin in the 10th when a couple of strikes would have forced Tony to throw 2 strikes to beat me. In the 4th game I only missed the pocket once, for a 4-7-10 split to go along with 2 10's, 2 4's and a 4-9 while Tony was trying to throw a 300 game coming up with a solid 10 on the 12th shot. In the 5th game Tony added a bit of salt to me by tripping out the 2-4-10 in the 3rd frame for a strike which ended up being a 7 bagger. I also started the game with a bagger before leaving a solid 7. A weak 10 in the 8th frame and 2nd shot in the 10th helped Tony beat me as he doubled in the 9th and 10th to win the game and match. I started the match playing up 4 with a dull Awesome Finish. I ended up using a dull Awesome Revs playing around 11 as the lane condition broke down quite a bit. Tony bowled awesome as he shot 289, 299, 268 his last 3 games. I knew it was going to take a lot to win, but that was kind of unbelievable.
